Hi Guys. I remember Gaijin telling us time and again that the BR matchmaking is set up so that most tanks are equal. They have told us that there can be no more than three points difference or one whole BR, whatever Chi he matchmaking means. This would mean that my Japanese tank at 2. This KV-1 has a BR of 3. That is 4 BR rankings higher So I am thinking that this matchmaking crud that Gaijin are giving us is a load of BS. If the KV-1 was "his" lowest, it would have meant that a BR 1. I wonder how Gaijin could explain this After all, the matchmaking is working "exactly as intended"!
Isn't it? As a side mark I have been keeping a tally of how often I am overtiered.

I too though it was something similar to what you think, but I found that in relatively rare cases, it is possible to see a 1. Simply ranting about the matchmaker in the discussion section of the forum, while providing only partial evidence will not get things changed. You need to provide all the facts and proof and post in the correct section: Bug Reports. If it is indeed a bug, action will be taken to correct it.
In Chi he matchmaking match you play, chances are there will always be a few players on either team that are a full BR. You see 1 or 2 of them and think that every single enemy is the same BR. It's just as likely that you may get downtiered a full BR. I bet they feel exactly the same way you do when you get uptiered too Yes, it's true, sometimes you get placed into games where you'll be bottom rung on the BR.
There's not much you can do about it. There are plenty of things that dictate what kind if games you get into. Server selected, time of day, BR. You could be queuing at a less popular BR. Or maybe you are queuing during low Chi he matchmaking hours on your particular server. That's just the way these things work. On the one hand we have people complaining that queue times are too long, and on the the other hand we have people complaining about the BR.
The reality is that Gaijin can't just make the matchmaker place you against other players at the exact same BR. If they did, your queue time would be astronomically high.
There just aren't enough players. This is true of pretty much most multiplayer game matchmakers. World of Tanks has the same issue Conversely, they can't increase the BR. There's a middle ground here which ensures reasonably fair matches with fairly quick queues. That's what Gaijin is using currently. If we had massive influx of players who play regularly, then I'm sure you'd be more likely to get into matches where everyone was pretty much equal in BR.
But barring that, you just gotta roll with the punches. AFAIK they are not trying to achieve anything - you need to provide more information and bug report it if it is really a bug. I hadn't thought about that. My understanding of bugs in software is extremely limited. But yes, it could be a bug. I have since taken it up with admin, who are helping me with the technical stuff and indeed are highly interested in the issue.
I'm also sure that the programming is incredibly complicated, to say the least.

It is what Gaijin have stated. This situation has never happened to me before either. I do know, however, that every single software program can have, somewhere, an issue that has never been discovered before. Maybe I'm the "lucky one" who has discovered this one. If I had higher-tier vehicles tanks or planes I Chi he matchmaking not have complained. It would have been an obvious issue. FYI, I could have taken a picture "after the event" of a "corrected" line-up. But that would have served no purpose, unless I was someone who thinks that everyone on this earth is firstly a liar.
